Yes, for a ceremony. Central Park only allows weddings at a fixed set of locations, and each needs a permit filed at least 21 days ahead. We file it for you and the fee is inside your package. Proposals are different — with fewer than 20 people and nothing set up, no permit is needed at all.
That part is yours, and it's separate from the park permit. You both apply in person at the New York City Clerk's office, and there's a 24-hour waiting period before the licence becomes valid — so allow at least a full day between collecting it and the ceremony.
Ceremonies and elopements need at least 21 days for the permit, and we recommend two to three months for anything with guests. Elopements are booked inside three months of the date. Proposals are comfortable at two to four weeks — although autumn weekends go first, so bring that forward if you're proposing in October.
It depends entirely on the site. Bow Bridge takes 20, Ladies Pavilion 25, Shakespeare Garden and Belvedere Castle 30, Bethesda Terrace 40, Cop Cot 50, and the Conservatory Garden 100 — the only site in the park that seats a hundred. Elopement packages cap at four people in total.
We agree a weather fallback with you at the walkthrough, before the day, so nobody is making decisions on the morning. Proposals include a free transfer to a rain date, and picnic receptions are moved or re-planned rather than cancelled.
Engagement shoots are delivered within two weeks, proposals within three. Every gallery is online, edited, print quality and yours to download in full resolution — there are no watermarks and no per-image charges.
