Past Bethesda Terrace, along the Lake, under the elms of the Mall — with a licensed driver who's run this route for years and will tell you what you're looking at.
Free cancellation to 24 hrs · Instant confirmation · Licensed & insured drivers
Five miles of car-free park with a guide who runs it every morning, sets the pace to the slowest person in the group, and stops long enough at Bethesda and the Reservoir for you to actually look at them.
Three pace bands, and the guide runs at the back of the slowest one. Nobody gets dropped, ever.
Small enough to stay together at a junction and to hear what your guide is telling you.
Licensed guides who are also qualified coaches, running these routes six mornings a week.
Leave your things at the meeting point. You're not carrying a rucksack round the Reservoir.
You can obviously run in Central Park for nothing, and plenty of people should. What you’re paying for here is not access — it’s a route you don’t have to navigate, a pace set for you, and somebody who knows what you’re running past. Here’s the honest comparison, including the part that isn’t in our favour.

Genuinely fine, and we’d never pretend otherwise. You’ll stop at junctions, second-guess the loop direction, and see the park without knowing what any of it is.

Two Of You? $90, Bags Included.
per person
A brisk walk rather than a run, with light stretching and standing yoga at two stops. The park before it belongs to anybody, and the best light of the day.
per person · from $160 for two
Bodyweight strength, core, HIIT intervals on the Great Lawn, or a coached run at your own distance. Built around what you actually want out of the hour.
per runner
The one everybody means when they say “a carriage ride in Central Park.” Bethesda, the Lake, Cherry Hill, Strawberry Fields.

These are sightseeing sessions in a public park, not medical or clinical services. If you’re carrying an injury, coming back from one, or unsure whether this suits you, tell us when you book or speak to your doctor first — we’d far rather adjust the session than have you push through it. Corporate and running-club bookings are quoted separately; call +1 (929) 483-7420.
Most sites list landmark names and leave you guessing. This is the route, by mile, so you know what’s coming and where the one climb is.
Bags in, pace bands sorted, five minutes of warm-up before anybody sets off.
Onto the West Drive, with fifteen acres of lawn and the West Side towers opening up on your right.
Two or three minutes off the clock. Cameras out, water, and the story of the arcade ceiling.
PHOTO STOP
The Imagine mosaic and the Dakota, then a gentle rise past the Delacorte.
A full 1.58-mile lap of the cinder track, counter-clockwise, with the best skyline in the park doubled in the water.

Past the Met and Cleopatra’s Needle, mostly downhill, and the fastest mile of the morning.
Cool-down and stretching on the grass by the Maine Monument, then your bag.
Your guide picks the version on the morning based on who turns up, and will happily run the short route with one person while a colleague takes the rest round. Routes shift for races — Central Park hosts a great many, and on those mornings we start earlier rather than dodge runners.

Travelling usually means either skipping the runs or doing them badly on a hotel treadmill. A guided session solves the logistics — you don’t have to work out a route, judge the distance, or wonder whether you’ll find your way back. Turn up at seven, run five miles of the best urban park in the world, and be at breakfast by half eight.

A park this size is genuinely easy to get turned around in, and running alone in an unfamiliar city at dawn is a calculation plenty of people would rather not make. Eight people, one guide who knows every path, a bag looked after, and a phone number that reaches somebody. That’s most of the appeal, and there’s nothing soft about it.

Walking, most first-time visitors manage the southern third of the park. Running, you get Bethesda, Strawberry Fields, the Great Lawn and a full lap of the Reservoir, plus two pauses long enough to actually photograph them. It is the most Central Park anybody sees in an hour and a quarter.

The Sunrise Wellness Walk is a brisk walk with light stretching and standing yoga at two stops — no running at any point, mats provided, and the park almost empty at half past seven. It suits people who want the morning and the views without the miles, and it’s the session most likely to sell out in autumn.

Marathon week is our busiest of the year and the sessions are deliberately gentle — easy pace, the short route, and a guide whose job that week is talking people out of doing too much three days before a race. Come for the course orientation and the nerves, not the training effect.

Meets you at the gate, shoots the run and both pauses on a real camera, files within 48 hours.
Adds the North Hills for the full 6.1-mile loop. Tell your guide at the warm-up.
Twenty guided minutes on the grass after the run, mats provided. Worth it after a flight.
Free to ask about — if nobody else books your slot, the session is yours. We’ll email you.
Add any of these at checkout, or tell us on the phone and we’ll brief your guide before you arrive. Add-ons are subject to availability on the day — booking ahead guarantees them.
Your guide waits by the Maine Monument at the south-west corner of the park, in a marked top. Their name and mobile number are in your confirmation email, so you’re not scanning a crowd at seven in the morning hoping one of them is yours.

Arrive ten minutes early for the warm-up and the bag drop. There are no showers or changing rooms at the meeting point, so come dressed to run. The session finishes where it starts, which is the point — you’re back at the subway rather than a mile from it.
Four adults, or three adults and two children under 12, or two adults and three children. It’s a legal limit. For more, we run carriages together — call us and we’ll arrange it.
Eight, per pace band. That’s a hard cap — if a band fills we open another rather than let a group of fifteen strung out over half a mile follow one guide.
Possibly, and we’d rather you told us than didn’t. Our guides are coaches, not clinicians — they can adjust the route, the pace and the warm-up, but they can’t assess an injury. If you’re returning from something significant or you’re unsure, have a word with your doctor or physio first, then tell us what they said and we’ll build the session around it.
The Highlights Run goes daily at 7am and 6pm. The Sunrise Wellness Walk is 7:30am. Private sessions run at any time you like, including mid-morning if an early start on holiday feels like a punishment.
The run goes ahead — Central Park in light rain is one of the better versions of it, and far quieter. We only cancel for lightning, ice or dangerous heat, and then it’s an automatic full refund. You can also move to another day free of charge in a bad forecast.
On the Highlights Run, from 14 and up with an adult in the same band. The Sunrise Wellness Walk takes over-12s. Private sessions can be built around a family at any age — tell us who’s coming and we’ll say honestly whether it’ll work.
Yes, and it books out earliest of any week in the year. Sessions that week are deliberately easy shake-out pace, the short route, and a guide who will talk you out of going too hard three days before a race.
Instantly, by email, with your time, the meeting point, your pace band, your guide’s name and a mobile number for the morning. If it hasn’t arrived in ten minutes, check spam and then call us.
Same landmarks, no sweat, and considerably more history. Departs daily at noon.
Outdoor classes on the Great Lawn and at the Reservoir, mats provided, all levels.
The same six miles with wheels under you, entirely at your own pace and schedule.
Daily at 7am and 6pm from Merchants’ Gate. Three pace bands, groups capped at eight, bag drop included, and free rescheduling right up to 24 hours before.
